Eligibility for Fresh Application:
- First-Year Students:
The scholarship is available for students in the first year of their course.
- Engineering Students (Lateral Entry):
Engineering students who have entered the 2nd year of an Engineering Degree Course through lateral entry after completing an Engineering Diploma are also eligible to apply as Fresh applicants.

Nagaland State Merit Scholarship: Renewal Application
Eligibility for Renewal Application:
- Renewal applications are available for the beneficiaries of the 2024-25 period who have passed their last examination with the qualifying percentage and are continuing in the same course.
Fresh Application for Course Change:
Beneficiaries of 2024-25 who have completed a course and moved to a new course level must apply as a Fresh Applicant.
For example:
- A student who has completed their Higher Secondary course must apply fresh for the BA/BSc 1st year.
- A student who has completed their BA/BSc must apply fresh for the MA/MSc 1st year, provided they meet the eligibility for a Fresh Application.
