Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the PMSSS 2025-26 candidates must meet the following conditions
- Be a domicile of Jammu and Kashmir or Ladakh
- Have passed Class 12th from JKBOSE or CBSE affiliated schools in JK or Ladakh
- Family income should not exceed 800000 per annum
- Must apply online through AICTE PMSSS portal
- Diploma holders must have completed it from a recognized Polytechnic Institute in JK or Ladakh for Lateral Entry
- Lateral Entry candidates are eligible only for vacant seats in the Engineering stream
Exclusions from PMSSS
The following candidates are not eligible
- Students pursuing PG diploma or distance or open courses
- Students admitted through management quota
- Students with family income above 8 lakh
- Applicants not registered via AICTE portal
- Admission through agents or NGOs
- Students enrolled in non designated colleges outside the AICTE approved list

- Maintenance Allowance is credited directly to the student bank account through DBT
- First year 20000 first installment and 10000 for 8 installments

Duration and Renewal of Scholarships
PMSSS scholarship is renewable yearly till completion of UG degree

- Promotion to next class
- Good conduct and regular attendance
Failing twice in the same academic year will lead to discontinuation
In special cases illness etc scholarship may be renewed with valid proof
