From scholarships to skill development grants, the SIRISH portal is now accepting online applications for a range of welfare schemes.
What is the SIRISH Scholarship?
The SIRISH Scholarship is a set of financial assistance schemes curated by the Directorate of Tea Tribes and Adivasi Welfare, Assam. The initiative aims to uplift historically marginalized communities through direct financial aid, entrepreneurship support, and capacity-building programs. It offers students and self-employed individuals access to life-changing opportunities in education and beyond.
Eligibility for SIRISH Scholarship
To be eligible for SIRISH schemes:
- Applicants must be permanent residents of Assam
- Belong to the Tea Tribes or Adivasi communities
- Have an annual family income below ₹5 lakh

- Pre-Matric Scholarship
- For students of Class IX & X
- Financial Aid: ₹3,000
- Application Window: 1 June – 16 July 2025
- Post-Matric Scholarship
- For students of Class XI, XII, and undergraduate programs
- Financial Aid: ₹5,000 – ₹7,000
- Application Window: 1 July – 15 August 2025
- Simon Sing Horo Special Post-Matric Scholarship
- For students who cleared HSLC/HSSLC in 2025
- One-time grant of ₹10,000
- Application Window: 1 June – 16 July 2025
- Financial Assistance for Higher Studies
- For students pursuing MBBS, Engineering, Law, MBA, etc.
- Financial Aid: ₹25,000 – ₹35,000
