Eligibility Criteria of TWAS‑SN Bose Postgraduate Fellowship Programme 2025

  • Be aged 35 or younger as of 31 December 2025
  • Be a national of a developing country (excluding India)
  • Not hold any temporary/permanent visa for India or developed countries
  • Hold a Master’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Mathematics
  • Have completed at least 5 years of undergraduate and postgraduate education
  • Be accepted by a department at S.N. Bose National Centre
  • Show English language proficiency (if not educated in English)
  • Commit to returning to their home country after the fellowship
  • Not hold other assignments during the fellowship
  • Be financially responsible for accompanying family members

How to Apply for TWAS‑SN Bose Postgraduate Fellowship Programme 2025

  1. Find a Supervisor
    Visit: Faculty List – SN Bose and identify a suitable supervisor.
  2. Request Acceptance Letter
    Email the Dean (Academic Programme) at deanap@bose.res.in with:
  • Filled SNB Form (available on official website)
  • Your CV
  1. Receive Preliminary Acceptance Letter
    Ensure you receive it by 31 August 2025
  2. Complete Online Application
    Visit the TWAS Online Portal
    Upload all required documents including your Acceptance Letter
  3. Submit Application
    Submit before 22 September 2025 (Midnight CEST)
    Refer to the downloadable tutorial on using the application portal

Selection Procedure

  • Eligibility check by TWAS and SN Bose Centre
